Having received her MFA in Furniture Design from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2016 Maria is now bases in Connecticut.
Maria’s design practice focuses in areas such as furniture, textiles, tableware, interiors and brand identity. Through her work Maria has developed a detailed knowledge of manufacturing, materials, sourcing, and project management. Working side by side with clients, she connect through an understanding of shapes, colors and lifestyles. The results are straightforward objects thoughtfully designed pairing form and function that reflect the soul of the homes in which they dwell.
Experimentation with concepts and materials have lead Maria to be in the top 5 designs in the Battery Park Chair Competition in 2013 . Shown in La Triennale di Milano and the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in NYC, Architectural Digest Design Show 2018 and Wanted Design 2019 with SinCa Design. Her work has been featured publications such as Domus Mexico, Design Milk, Mexico Design, The New York Times, Core 77, Providence Journal, among others.
