Water Filter

Some ancient cultures used materials from nature with the understanding that their local ecosystem plays a role in preserving the natural environment that shaped their livelihoods and cultures for centuries. Learning and using their techniques we can recover our natural environment and preserve the culture.

Our work pushes boundaries on what sustainability means showing a strong commitment with a  ethical production process incorporating renewable materials.

Project Facts:
Year: 2016
Cooper vessel: Hand hammered coper. Traditional handicraft from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico.
Production Stage: Small batch in production.

An interior terracota vessel filters the water to be received in the copper container. Copper is also known for its antiseptic properties which also helps with the purity of the water. Between the cooper and terracota the temperature of the water keeps cool and enhances the flavor.
